Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Regional Head of Commercial will lead the team responsible for the delivery of the 3 pronged commercial goals for Branded owned events in Asia Pacific and beyond - 1) revenue generation 2) audience development and retention 3) best in class servicing and brand reputation.
The key measure of success for this role will be securing revenue through the development of creative partnerships that deliver sponsorship and long term strategic associations for global brands accessing and influencing the entertainment industry in Asia. Priority focus is on Branded’s B2B owned IP with an expert reputation in Sports, Music, Digital, Marketing and Gaming and their synergies in a global context.
It is expected that the individual will have strategic foresight and ideas to deliver pipeline sales development, the communication and servicing skills to build valuable long-term relationships and renewals, and the leadership acumen to develop a successful, loyal and motivated sales team with a stellar reputation in the marketplace.
The ideal candidate requires the organizational and management skills needed to oversee teams with diverse KPIs and the communication skills needed to create synergies. They must also be able to work closely and cooperatively with the Operations team on delivery and understand how to service clients to calibrate resources to revenue.
Experience and contacts in the global sports operator and sponsor community will be favourably considered as a compliment to the knowledge skills of the existing team.
REQUIREMENTS
- 15+ years in sales and servicing with an exemplary track record of success and excellent reputation in the market.
- 10+ years sponsorship sales experience, with partnership deal sizes exceeding seven figures
- Experience in Web3, Metaverse, AI with development of sales propositions
- Asia experience and existing strong relationships particularly in China, Australia, Europe and Singapore
- Proven track record in y.o.y. revenue growth
- Strong financial management skills
- Strong presentation and sales skills
- Strong project management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Business education qualifications an advantage
- Budget and forecasting experience
- Strong knowledge of the media, AI, sports and/or consumer industries will be an advantage.
- Strong interest in technology and how it is changing media consumption habits.
- Proven track record in leading and managing a small team.
- Willingness to work in an events environment that requires extraordinary commitment at key times of delivery.
- An ideas person and team player who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and who also has the discipline to contribute and enforce the growth of a scale-able business.
- Experience presenting and negotiating commercial agreements with C-level executives
- Fluency in English and Chinese.
