Description:

The Regional Investigations Manager conducts internal investigations relating to alleged violations of the Abbott Code of Business Conduct (and other policies and procedures), recommends and helps implement appropriate remediation, and reports conclusions to managers and business leaders. He/She assists in intake and analysis of new reports, including identifying potential legal and policy issues and identifies gaps in the company’s policies, procedures, and training that become apparent during investigations, and participates in corrective action.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for all aspects of internal investigations in the APAC region: works with employees at various levels of the organization to obtain relevant information; reviews and analyzes relevant documents and data; interviews witnesses; and formulates well-founded conclusions.
  • Participates in decision-making and recommendations regarding the remediation of internal investigations and follow-up actions; reports on investigations to compliance and business leaders.
  • Drafts reports of investigative findings.
  • Assists Director, Internal Investigations, with risk assessments, trend analysis, and compiling audit responses.
  • Supervisory/Management Responsibilities - no direct reports but is responsible for supervision and instruction of affiliate personnel responsible for local investigations that are less significant.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree , both overall and any industry-specific experience needed:
  • Six to eight years legal, investigations, auditing, financial or compliance experience, including experience conducting witness interviews.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • High proficiency in English.
  • Must be fluent in at least one other language spoken in the APAC region.
  • Travel - Up to 25% with flexibility
