Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Nurse Consultant builds and leads delivery of supporting services for our care management, utilization management, clinical quality, and population health teams. This position is responsible for unifying, further developing, and expanding the facility’s clinical team to deliver a streamlined, effective, and client-centered approach to service. This position is responsible, as part of the regional facility leadership and care teams, for the overall patient care management process. This position provides oversight, guidance and support for the processes related to the development, implementation and outcomes of patient care plans as developed through clinician assessment. This position serves as a resource, positive role model, and mentor for the Director of Nursing and other nursing staff. The Regional Nurse Consultant oversees multiple areas, such as training, quality, and clinical regulatory compliance.
The Regional Nurse Consultant is responsible for supporting facility staff responsible for occupational health and learning program development and project management pertaining to OSHA regulatory standards, Workers Compensation, Employee Health and Safety, Infection Control, Emergency Preparedness, and Staff Development.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Director of Nursing in a skilled Nursing Facility in Minnesota.
- Progressive leadership experience in a health care environment; managing and developing a team, overseeing multiple functions and providing strategic and tactical direction and operational oversight.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Department of Health regulations, legislating and laws
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must qualify for employment, after criminal background study per guidelines of Minnesota Department of HS
