The Opportunity
The Regional Sales Manager will drive parts sales through developing effective business relationships between PACCAR Parts, the Dealer network, and parts customers across all segments. They will work with dealers to create and execute a Sales and Marketing plan that assists assigned dealers to grow parts sales and effectively implement marketing initiatives. Those who can successfully coach and mentor external and internal parts sales teams, and who have a natural flair for developing relationships with dealers, customers and suppliers will thrive in this position. The Regional Parts Sales Manager will also contribute to trade shows, promote PACCAR Training and development programs, and will assist with planning and launch of dealer events. Proven commercial experience in automotive or with industrial products, together with a strong business acumen are essential for this role, along with excellent communication, numeracy and computer skills. Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or a related field, and previous knowledge and experience in the heavy vehicle market are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Plan regular visits to dealers and end customers and facilitate ongoing communication with dealers
  • Monitor dealer sales performance and report performance information internally and to dealers
  • Collaborate with dealers to achieve sales targets, grow market share and develop their business by growing existing parts sales as well as securing new business and reporting on sales opportunities
  • Help drive dealer engagement and implementation of all PACCAR Sales and Marketing initiatives including Privileges Plus, Managed Dealer Inventory, Focus, eCommerce, PACCAR Parts Fleet Services, increase TRP store locations, and increase Outside Sales Representatives
  • Assist dealers to develop annual business and marketing plans and review / update quarterly, and recommend remedial or dealer sales improvement strategies, and actions as required
  • Assist with the creation of various sales and marketing support materials for use in sales activities including local area marketing, dealer events and product information events
  • Operate as a key liaison / interface and escalation point for PACCAR Parts Sales and Marketing
  • Attend functions and events as required, at all times modelling behaviour that both protects and maintains the Brands of PACCAR
  • Ensure dealer sales activities comply with PACCAR Parts guidelines, legal and ethical standards
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to EEO & Workplace Harassment, Occupational Health & Safety, Disciplinary and Counselling Policy, Internet and Email Policy, Company Business Conduct Guidelines, Sarbanes Oxley, Quality Procedures
