REGIONAL PEOPLE & CULTURE MANAGER

We are seeking a dynamic and courageous People and Culture Manager to join our Edmonton team, someone who is ready to dig in, understand operational challenges, and partners with regional operational leadership to build strong, engaged teams that embody the entrepreneurial spirit. This role will report into the VP, People and Culture and work closely with the VP, Homes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 6+ years in a People and Culture role, preferably in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and a degree in Human Resources Management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the construction or land acquisition industry is highly desirable.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, balancing big picture vision with attention to detail.
  • Resilient and Adaptable: Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence challenging personalities and complex situations.
  • Excellent Communicator: Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels.
  • Innovative Mindset: A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities:

As the People and Culture Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our organizational effectiveness. You will work closely with our leaders, to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence. Your mission is to understand the unique operational challenges we face and drive initiatives that enhance our work environment and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deep Dive into Operations: Immerse yourself in our operational processes to understand the unique challenges and opportunities within our construction and land acquisition activities.
  • Lead Transformation: Proactively identify areas for improvement and work with leadership to implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Partner with leaders across the region, building strong relationships and providing strategic HR guidance. Navigate challenging personalities with finesse and professionalism.
  • Culture Champion: Promote and enhance our entrepreneurial and bold company culture, ensuring it permeates all levels of the organization.
  • Talent Development: Implement the talent management strategies created by corporate office to attract, retain, and develop top talent. Lead initiatives for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Employee Relations: Address and resolve complex employee relations issues with a balanced and fair approach. Foster an environment of trust and open communication.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring a welcoming and respectful workplace for all employees.
  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts, guiding the organization through transformations and ensuring seamless adoption of new processes and practices.
