JOB DESCRIPTION

Special Bid Offering (SBO) Pricing is a team of trusted Pricing advisors supporting special bids with a focus on maximizing profit and revenue growth. The team is supporting Data Center Group across LAGEO, cooperating closely with sales teams.
In this position, you will be responsible for Pricing announcement to enable LA ISG HW/SW product portfolio with List, standard prices. Partially, you will also act as a guardian of the P&L and Opportunity Consultant to the sales function, to provide bid review and commercial sign-off within the assigned delegation matrix, in order to drive sales and profit for Lenovo.

Responsibilities:

Pricing announcement:

  • Set list and standard prices for all new ISG HW/SW products based on the agreed pricing strategy.
  • Reviewing as well the current product porfolio, adjusting the list and standard prices to bring them back in line with the pricing strategy.
  • The pricer will have intensive interlock with LA Product, 4P team to put together price action proposal, obtaining all needed approvals for price adjustments.
  • Analyze any possible errors in pricing tools, e.g. products with missing price which need to fixed with help of IT team.

Special Bid Pricing:

  • Sign off on all deals within your delegation level while escalating to Pricing Manager / CFO for sign off outside of delegation
  • Conduct a detailed review of Customer requirements with the Sales teams, ensure appropriate pricing methodology is selected and profit maximized for each opportunity
  • Maximize bid profitability through a detailed understanding of component cost environment and roadmap – provide guidance to Sales on most economically advantageous offering
  • Review product offering with Sales / Product managers to ensure Lenovo has a compliant offering, guard against adding additional cost from ’over configuring’
  • Ensure Price setting has been approached with due diligence and is based upon known market requirement or precedence
