Introduction to role
Have you got the drive and entrepreneurship necessary to manage our Airports and Parcel projects? Do you have the commercial attitude to play the game with our customers? Are you someone who develops project teams and third parties and encourages them to achieve the almost unattainable? If so, you’re the ideal Project Execution Manager for us! The Vanderlande Customer Centre Airports & Parcel Solutions EMEA LATAM is active in the Europe, Middle East and Latin America region to design, deliver and service solutions for airports and parcel customers. As we are expecting growth, we are looking for a Regional Project Execution Manager APS UK & Ireland with the potential and ambition to further develop and professionalize our organization especially in new and adjacent business such as our PAX-, IT-solutions and innovations.
Role Responsibilities
As Regional Project Execution Manager APS UK & Ireland, it’s your job to lead and manage airport and parcel projects portfolio in the United Kingdom (excluding London Heathrow) and Ireland region to ensure they are a success. Projects can vary from small to large scale and complex (0,5 to 30M£).

Your responsibilities and activities will include:

  • You will have ultimate responsibility for the successful delivery of the projects and form the link between the project team, the customer center leadership team, the client’s and subcontractor’s senior management
  • A strong people-oriented approach to guide and, where needed, coach your multi-cultural execution teams to deliver realistic project plans. Implementing projects will require key elements including: customer satisfaction, expectation management, time management, budget performance, quality and safety.
  • Responsible for defining, implementing and delivering the project strategies, objectives and KPIs.
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining the organizational structure in line with the company’s strategy and objectives, which comes with department communication, care for culture and employee engagement, competence development and talent management.

Role Qualification and Skills,

  • Minimum BSc in Engineering plus 10+ years business development experience; incl. management of 10M - 50M projects simultaneously.
  • Experience of managing people related issues
  • Customer relationship management experience at an advanced level
  • Proven leadership capabilities; able to manage and drive effective multidiscipline teams and lead by example
  • Independent decision-making ability with high strategic business acumen with enterprise thinking
  • Entrepreneurial and excellent communicator, who feels comfortable in different environments/cultures.
  • Ability to problem solve, appreciate customer pain points and offer win/win solutions
  • Establish challenging but realistic goals, develop plans to reach these goals, and pursue them with enthusiasm
  • Supportive, constructive, and open to influence [with team members and stakeholders]
  • Friendly, open, and willingness to building satisfaction with colleagues and teams
  • Willingness to travel globally and manage projects cross regions
