We are seeking for an individual who will be responsible for all Apple product regulatory compliance activities in Asia Pacific (APAC) region. You will work together with a team of highly skilled project managers, test engineers and developers - both local and remote. Track all existing and preempt all upcoming standards/regulations that impact Apple products. Have strong connections with APAC region’s regulators and be able to influence countries’ standards and regulations. Creatively work out the certification requirements and test plans for new technologies and new product categories. Have strong Safety test/certification experience for ITE/AV products as well as strong RF test /certification experience in BT/WLAN/NFC/UWB/WPT/ GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• RF Test Experience with BT/WLAN/NFC/UWB/WPT/GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G.
• Safety Test Experience with ITE/AV products with in-depth knowledge of relevant international and APAC safety standards (e.g. IEC 62368, GB 4943.1 etc.).
• In-depth Safety knowledge of the various safety critical components (lasers, batteries, adapters, power supplies, AC inlets etc.) and their relevant international and APAC safety standards (e.g. IEC 62133, GB 31241 etc.).
• Familiar with RF/Safety test instruments.
• 3+ years of Regulatory compliance engineer experience.
• Open for fresh graduate if candidate possesses outstanding communication skills.
• Solid planning and excellent communication skills.
• Be proactive and be able to be firm with external parties.
• Abilities to work in cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
• Self-motivated.Fluent in English and any other APAC local languages.

DESCRIPTION

Manage external ministries/regulators/certification bodies/agents to be updated on the latest/upcoming standards/regulations in APAC region - including label, manual, RF/Safety/EMC standards etc. Attend RF/Safety/EMC etc. regulatory compliance standard meetings and communicate standards/regulations changes effectively to internal cross-function team as well as to assess impact for Apple products. Influence and lobby ministries/regulators to favor Apple’s design or minimize impact to Apple. Generate test and certification plan for new technologies and new product categories. Perform RF/Safety/EMC certification test in country and debug RF/Safety/EMC during the test. Acquire regulatory compliance certifications in region on time. Work with test labs and regulators to continuously reduce regulatory approval lead time and manage the market surveillance. Communicate effectively between standard engineering, test engineering, software engineering, hardware engineering internally.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Computer Engineering or related field.
