JOB SUMMARY
If you’re seeking to progress your career in Regional Security, then Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! The Manager for Regional Security will lead the Emerson Regional Security program in Asia Pacific in all aspects of program development, governance, oversight, and execution of the Company’s security programs and crisis management strategies within the respective world area of assignment and is responsible for the management and supervision of other members of the Emerson Security team.

Responsibilities:
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
- Leads the strategic initiatives of the Emerson Global Security in Asia Pacific by developing and implementing Emerson standards for the security program and crisis management strategies at a level consistent with Global Security standards;
- Develops and otherwise leads an annual review of the Emerson Security program, documenting the results and correcting any non-conformances with Emerson standards;
- Compiles risk and threat assessments to provide early warning of local issues that may affect business(s) operations, travel, and asset protection;
- Briefs regional business unit leadership through written reports and verbal briefings on all security issues that may impact the Emerson business.
- Ensures crisis and incident response plans are in place and are effective;
- Leads all aspects of the management of regional based security service providers;
- Responds to critical issues and questions from Emerson Security team members;
- Leads and coordinates the administrative functions vital to publish and deliver training programs and drives consistency across multiple regions, including crisis management and security awareness;
- Drives the crisis management response to critical issues;
- Maintains membership and participation in ASIS International organization activities and OSAC Country Council organizations and activities.
- Identifies and advances strategic improvement opportunities and other tasks.
FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of proven working experience from an in-house security role. A minimum of 10 years combined experience in law enforcement, private sector security, military, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Must have experience of operating in China and possess a high degree of knowledge on the operating environment there.
- A high level of knowledge on regional affairs particularly on the nexus between political affairs and security events.
- Proven experience leading and conducting security related operations in country and running security agency or consultant led projects.
- High standards of professional responsibility, personal integrity, and efficiency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written with high-level management
- Possesses an active network of professional peers.
- Developed analytical/critical thinking skills
- Comfortable to work with senior management.
- Ability to travel 25% for success in the role.
