Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for a Regional Supervisor to join their team in Vancouver. This role will report to the Regional Manager Private Client Group, B.C., & Branch Manager Vancouver – Wealth Management and will be actively involved in supporting the demands of two successful branches.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to Advisors and resolve day to day issues; for Canaccord Genuity Vancouver, Kelowna, Wealth Management branches;
  • Maintain confidential records for Branch Managers (i.e. handle incoming mail and correspondence, draft up and email responses when necessary);
  • Gather and coordinate statistics for Branch Managers and provide them with any necessary information and details regarding Branch and Investment Advisors;
  • Interface with many departments within Canaccord Genuity for approvals/investigation and requests;
  • Prepare account activity reviews and transaction inquiries for Branch Managers;
  • Review Trading Reports (including, but not limited to):
  • Daily Registered Representatives commission and summary reports of previous day trading;
  • Daily Registered Representatives commission variation summary report of previous day trading;
  • Branch Manager’s Protegent Trade New and Pending Alerts, as well as Trade Suitability;
  • Branch Manager transfer-out report.
  • Review Credit/Concentration Reports (including but not limited to):
  • Branch Manager’s Protegent Account Daily New and Pending Alerts;
  • Aged Cash and Cash RSP debits;
  • Under Margin Report;
  • Third Party Relation;
  • Accounts Debits >$50,000 with one security >$50,000 of loan value;
  • Descending Debit Balances >$100,000.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have completed Canadian Securities Course and Conduct & Practices Handbook Examinations and ongoing continuing education requirements;
  • Hold IIROC Supervisor License;
  • Willingness to obtain Options Supervisor License;
  • Well-rounded experience in and knowledge of the brokerage industry;
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure;
  • Ability to work with employees and clients at all levels;
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills;
  • Experience in a Supervisory role in the brokerage industry is an asset;
  • Dataphile and Execlear experience is an asset.
