Description:
Promega (Singapore) – a subsidiary of Promega USA is a leader in providing innovative solutions to the life sciences industry. The company’s 4,000 products enable scientists worldwide to advance their knowledge in genomics, proteomics, cellular analysis, drug discovery, clinical diagnostics and human identification.
Equipped with a regional inventory hub, a global support and instrument service centre and a scientific applications laboratory, the team focuses on sales, marketing, distribution and technical support to customers in Singapore and the Asia Pacific markets.
We are currently seeking for a highly competent and experienced scientist who is determined, self-motivated and personable to join the Singapore Team for the position of Technical Services Scientist
Requirements:
- PhD in related Life Sciences discipline with a good track record in research and applications.
- Experience in leading projects, highly organised, structured; skilled at managing time effectively and able to deliver under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in managing needs and expectations in diverse cultural environments.
- Dedication and commitment to customer service and problem resolution through analytical thinking.
- A demonstrated interest and grasp of wide technology landscape and ability to apply knowledge in all situations
Responsibilities:
- Provide best-in-class technical support to customers and channel partners in the Asia Pacific markets on Promega products ranging from applications to troubleshooting solutions.
- Manage, track, record and document relevant information from technical inquiries on Promega’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system as defined by corporate and department internal quality guidelines.
- Act as liaison with customers – internal and external – with key Promega Departments that include Technical Services, R&D, Marketing & Production and Quality Assurance to refine product quality and performance.
- Partner with Promega Sales and Channel Partners to address opportunities in in all market segments – academia, clinical diagnostics, genetic identity, biologics and drug discovery; and applied markets
- As a technical product expert, responsible for presenting key seminars, conduct training and on-site demonstrations for key products and chemistries including applications on key instrument platforms.
- Support Marketing & Sales in Trade shows; understand customer needs and provide market input, identify emerging trends and competition ; as voice of customer to optimize product offerings
