Salary: $117,017 to $217,378

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7 – 10 years progressive leadership experience in supply chain, distribution, fulfillment, operations
  • Experience managing a large multi-site business
  • LEAN Six Sigma experience is an asset
  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in a related or relevant field
  • Any designation related to facility management, i.e. refrigeration engineering
  • Any supply chain and or logistics professional designation would be an asset
  • Experience with ERP, Warehouse Management Systems or Fleet Management systems
  • Intermediate expertise with Microsoft Office products
  • Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle may be required
  • Up to 30% travel is required

Responsibilities:

ROLE:

This role will provide operational leadership and scale our supply chain systems for the region. The incumbent is accountable and responsible for developing and executing overall supply chain strategies for all critical operations & distribution including facilities, fleet management, warehouse and delivery activities. This incumbent is a key member of the Senior Regional Leadership team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning and directing the regional operations group in order to align the back-of-the-house long-term objectives with the business goals.
  • Be the strategist that integrates the different activities of delivery, shipping, receiving, purchasing and sales by being a catalyst at promoting the interdependencies between each group.
  • Participate in the establishment of overall regional business goals.
  • Seek synergies and best practices in order to develop and implement better methods that meet our Customer First Model.
  • Maintain profitable operations through excellence in cost control, productivity planning and safety culture.
  • Champion operations management in compliance with government and other regulatory agencies, guidelines and laws and Company programs.
  • Implement programs to ensure overall safety, security, maintenance and ergonomics for the operations functions.
  • Delegate responsibility to directors and managers to accomplish productivity goals. Enforce company policies on safety and employee coaching by following guidelines and policies.
  • Create performance improvement plans through the sites operation teams and identify training opportunities when appropriate.
  • If applicable, understand and interpret the CBA and participate in labour relations activities/procedures as required at unionized facilities.
  • Responsible for a business portfolio surpassing $500M (may be significantly higher dependent on region).
  • Champion, advocate, sponsor and participate to drive employee engagement

  • Develop and support high performing talent through hiring, scheduling, performance coaching, and career management practices. Includes an appropriate level of functional knowledge necessary to make informed decisions on talent development.
  • Facilitate establishment of clear performance goals; Ensure that performance goals adapt to changing business demands; Identify and manage non-performers in a fair and timely way; Identify and reward top performance; links pay and performance through base, incentive, and recognition programs.

  • Ability to facilitate and align department leaders around common goals and operating requirements across a multi-site regional geography.

  • Ability to effectively lead change and transformational initiatives through sound change management practices that will ensure sustained adoption, including stakeholder engagement across multiple functions.

  • Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by providing necessary resources and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.
  • Accountable for the accuracy of timecards, approvals and scheduling of direct reports.
