Description:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A current unrestricted driver’s licence
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance, advice and support to Groups/Brigades with running effective local recruitment activities and programs.
- Assist the Regional Operations Manager to deliver effective recruitment and retention programs, focusing on volunteer attraction, retention, and succession planning.
- Provide education tailored to local Groups/Brigades needs in relation to non-operational skills and capabilities.
- Provide an initial contact point for Group Officers for advice, support for matters related to the volunteer workforce, including conflict management and resolution, code of conduct and respectful behaviors requirements and effective leadership.
- Coordinate the provision of conflict resolution and mediation support services to Groups/Brigades.
- Assist in the investigation and reporting of alleged breaches of the SACFS Code of Conduct, Respectful Behaviors and reported interpersonal conflict/discipline issues.
- Support the senior leadership team within the Region to create a positive, proactive and supportive culture and environment aligned to the SACFS Code of Conduct and values.
- Develop and maintain effective, collaborative, and positive working relationships with key stakeholders including Brigades, Farm Fire Units/Landholders, the SAFECOM Volunteer Services Branch.
- Actively support the operational, incident management and on call requirements of the Region to ensure delivery of an effective and proactive emergency response service within the Region and as directed by the Chief Officer.
- Support the Regional Commander and Regional Operations Manager to ensure operational readiness of resources and functions within the Region.
