This position is within our Toronto based Mighty Kids Centres. We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our toddler team! Located in beautiful Riverdale, our centre focuses on community engagement, quality care, and fostering creativity. We want to hear from you!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in an Early Childhood Educator position is an asset
  • Early Childhood education including:


    • RECE Registered Early Childhood Educator (MUST be in good standing)

    MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS:

    • 2 Step TB
    • Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
    • Vulnerable Sector Check
    • Standard First Aid & CPR Level C

    Responsibilities:

    • Participate in the age appropriate environment rating scale annually
    • Interacts with Ministry staff and other regulators around licensing requirements for inspection purposes
    • Follows the Centre’s Quality Assurance Cycle when using program evaluation tools
    • Provides positive social experiences
    • Facilitates and understanding of a variety of cultures and value systems
    • Provides a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment
    • Implement emergency procedures
    • Attending to the child’s physical needs
    • Actively participates in required training sessions within Childventures curriculum and community sponsored professional development
    • Provide age-appropriate programs to enhance the children’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
    • Prepare weekly program plans meeting all requirements of curriculum
    • Daily observations
    • Maintain child records
