Description:
We are seeking a highly enthusiastic, dynamic, highly motivated individual, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our team of experienced vaccinators at Swansea Bay University Health Board.
The successful candidate will be working as part of a proactive skill mix team who are committed to delivering a high quality service.
The service group is a newly formed immunisation service where everyone’s opinions are important and collaborative working with key professionals is essential ensuring that our communities are protected against vaccine preventable diseases. The service is responsible to responding and supporting all immunisation schedules, including responding to any outbreaks across the Health Board.
We are a supportive service and committed to providing professional development to all staff. Clinical supervision, support and training will be given.

Safe administration of vaccines by various routes, including intra-dermal techniques
Work in collaboration with health care professionals from primary, and secondary care in addition to close working relationships with the third sector and trusted voices within our communities.
Proactively support the administration of vaccines in line with the implementation of the National Immunisation Framework
A high level of communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team. Successful applicants will have responsibility for their allocated vaccination clinics which will be in various settings; ensuring standards are met at all times and will be required to be able to deal with pressure with a positive attitude and possess a professional and flexible approach to their work.
Working hours may include the need to work at weekends/evenings to meet the needs of the service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
