Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Health Clinician to join our team in a role where you can contribute to making a difference.
In conjunction with the Child & Adolescent Mental Health and Addictions Team, you will co-ordinate care to meet identified needs of referred children and young people within the context of family, school and peer groups.

You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team using accepted evidence-based and contemporary professional practice when working alongside whānau in the children and adolescent space; providing them with integrated, culturally safe assessment and treatment, taking account of psychosocial issues relevant to the development and wellbeing of children and adolescents within the context of their whanau.

  • This is a permanent fulltime role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday).

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

  • Recognised health qualification with a current registration such as Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work
  • Annual Practising Certificate
  • Current full drivers’ licence
  • Experience working with Maori whānau
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary mental health team
  • Police Clearance

Whilst not essential, the following specifications are highly desirable.

  • Experience providing psychological therapy with children, young people and families.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health
  • Certificate/Diploma in evidenced based Therapeutic Model of Treatment
  • Comfortable with the concepts and utilisation of talking therapies
