Unified Care Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate OFSTED Registered Manager to join our team. We are a leading provider of high-quality care services for children and young adults with a variety of needs. As the Registered Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and support to our service users. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered as a Manager with OFSTED or willing to undergo the registration process
  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a similar setting, with a strong track record of achieving good OFSTED ratings
  • Knowledge and understanding of OFSTED regulations and National Minimum Standards for Children’s Homes
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • A genuine interest and passion for working with vulnerable young people and making a positive difference in their lives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a variety of individuals including service users, families, staff, and external professionals
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations and effectively manage any issues that may arise
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the willingness to work weekends and ensure 24/7 cover for the service if needed
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage and oversee the operational and day-to-day running of the service, ensuring compliance with OFSTED regulations and company policies
  • Lead and supervise a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and training, to ensure they are delivering person-centered care to our service users
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, external professionals, and stakeholders, to ensure that the care provided meets the individual needs of each service user
  • Monitor the quality of care and support provided, and take the necessary actions to continuously improve the service and achieve excellent OFSTED ratings
  • Plan and manage budgets, resources and rota to ensure the smooth running of the service and cost-effectiveness
  • Ensure that all records and documentation are accurate, up-to-date, and confidential in compliance with OFSTED and company standards
  • Stay up-to-date with current legislation, standards, and best practices, and implement them appropriately within the service
  • Work closely with the Senior Management team to contribute to the strategic planning and development of the service
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to staff, as well as conducting regular appraisals and performance management to ensure high levels of motivation and job satisfaction among the team
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture that values diversity and encourages continuous professional development for all staff
