The details: 0.9 – 1.0 FTE (10 and 8 hour shifts)

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Complete the training programme in 12 – 14 months
  • Be open to learning new skills as well as be a self-directed learner
  • Be responsible for assisting in and delivery and evaluation of safe and appropriate centred care within the delivery of anaesthesia to a patient
  • Provide a professional manner, skilled, clinical and technical assistance to the anaesthetist
  • Work part of the theatre team in providing maximum quality care to patients undergoing anaesthesia

Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role (those who do not meet the criteria below will not be considered):

  • You must be a NZ Trained Registered Nurse who has worked at least 2 years in a large NZ Hospital
  • Be registered to work and have a current APC
  • Have an interest in working in a technical role that sits alongside your nursing skills
  • You must have experience working in THEATRE, EMERGENCY OR ICU/HDU in a NZ large Hospital
  • Able to work rostered shifts (Days, PMs, weekends and nights
