Base salary ranges between $82,753 and $106,144 p.a. (f/t) (Nurse Grade 5). TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE.
The roleJoin the team within the Mornington Island Hospital and provide emergency and primary health clinical care, with a focus on patient centred-care which leads to positive patient outcomes.
As Registered Nurse you will support continued improvement of health services by always participating in quality improvement opportunities, excel in patient safety by active contribution to a framework of sound clinical governance and function in complex situations while providing support, leadership and direction to other non-registered nursing personnel.
Two Permanent Full-time roles available.

REQUIREMENTS:

• The successful applicant must be eligible for General Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and possess of a current annual practising certificate prior to commencement.
• This is a VPD risk role.
  The location
  Mornington Island (Gunana)
  The Island achieved self-governance in 1978 and is now controlled by the Mornington Shire Council.
  The population of Mornington Island is mainly Aboriginal with a population of 1150 predominately Bentick Islanders and Mornington Islanders. The majority of the people live in town and visit the outstations on weekends (if the road permits). Daily flights to and from Cairns and Mount Isa provide most of the transport and a weekly barge from Karumba bring large items and stores.
