Description:
Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital
You will provide a high standard of patient care in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Our 26 bed, high dependency nursery provides specialist care for babies from 30 weeks gestation and our reputation is one of the highest in the state for neonatal care. We have a team of experienced neonatologists and nurses who are trained to handle complex medical conditions in newborns. Our nursery is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipment to monitor and support the health of premature babies.
The Position
- Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
- Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.
- Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
- Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff.
- Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
You will have recent NICU experience, a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

The Benefits
- Salary: $74,748 to $98,362 per annum, plus 11% superannuation
- We have part-time and full-time permanent positions available. Hours negotiable.
