JOB OVERVIEW:
The Observation Unit is a fast-paced department that continues the safe medical management of Emergency Department patients until a disposition can be determined,
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Active, valid NJ Registered Nurse license required
- BLS required
- ACLS required
Preferred:
- BSN preferred
- Certification in Telemetry, Trauma, Stroke preferred
- 1-year nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS
- 36 Hours/Week
- Night Shift
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the delivery of safe and quality patient care,
- Perform, adapt and safely demonstrate procedures required by patients according to policies and procedures,
- Administers medications accurately and safely,
- Documents according to policies and procedures Performs, demonstrates and documents technical skills specific to the nursing unit,
- Fast-paced observation environment
