Description:

Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital
We are seeking applications for a Registered Nurse to join our Palliative Care Ward at Bunbury Hospital on a permanent part-time basis.
Working as a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and cost effective manner. You will provide a high level of skill and knowledge providing palliative care to some of our most vulnerable, and critically ill patients.

The Position

  • Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
  • Management of clinical procedures such as Niki pumps, CADD pumps, intrathecal and rocked drains.
  • Adheres to and support hospital policies, procedures and standards.
  • Acts as the patient’s advocate and protects the rights of individuals.
  • Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
  • Uses resources cost effectively.
  • Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital.
  • Communicates appropriate information to senior staff regarding customer and departmental issues.

You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

We can offer you

  • Salary: $74,748 to $98,362 + 11% Super
  • Permanent part-time, 20 hours per week
