What you will need for this position is:

  • Registration (compliant with the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003)
  • Understanding of the principles of working in a practice setting.
  • A deep understanding of Pacific culture and protocols and the ability to engage with individuals and family from a variety of backgrounds in New Zealand and the Pacific.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a dedicated, caring and passionate Psychiatrist/Psychiatric Registrar to be part of the integrated LagiOla Healthy Minds team.
Your approach will see you collaborate and work alongside medical staff, other psychiatrists/registrar, psychologists, brief intervention Mind Health Practitioners, Health Coaches and Cultural Navigators – Together addressing the symptoms and systemic contributors to mental health distress. Your expert skills will make a significant impact with Fono families and will strengthen the wider team and services.
