Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic individual to join Ward M6 Trauma Orthopaedic ward.
Ward M6 has 28 beds looking after both male and female patients. We are a busy trauma ward that offers a wide variety of challenges and learning opportunities
We are full of opportunity for nurses who are starting out surgery nursing or looking for progression to develop new skills, get involved in quality improvement and collaborate with MDT teams.
Develop your nursing experience working with a friendly, professional and encouraging team who are focused on delivering a high quality care / service. Trauma orthopaedic nursing experience would be an advantage however, it is not essential if you would like to join us. As a band 5 nurse you can expect a comprehensive development package alongside support from our team of experienced nurses, including clinical nurse specialists, the enhanced recovery practitioner and our clinical practice educator.
The successful applicant will be well supported within this dynamic team and have the chance to build many clinical nursing competencies such as, spinal care, pre and post operative care, venepuncture & cannulation, Catheterisation, NGT insertion, wound care, management of acute trauma emergencies. The prospective candidate will also be able to gain valuable experience in advanced communication, palliative care and complex / rapid discharges.
