Our team of more than 350 people work across ten offices in VIC, NSW, SA, QLD and the ACT.
Following the success of a recent merger, our Canberra office are looking to expand the Land Surveying team to support all forms of survey with a strong focus on cadastral. You’ll have the unique opportunity to build, develop and grow your surveying career within a multidisciplinary consultancy with a booming portfolio of work already in the pipeline. In addition, you’ll be part of a nationwide network of surveyors from diverse backgrounds and projects.

About the opportunity
As the Registered Surveyor, you will provide expert technical advice and consulting on greenfield land development projects, contribute to business strategy and direction and oversee cadastral surveys for developers, authorities and the public sector. Through Spiire’s integrated consulting approach, you will collaborate with other skilled professionals across our multi-disciplinary organisation as well as external consultants.
Responsibilities:
Oversee a team managing field components of cadastral surveys with a strong focus on client relationships, signing plans and managing submissions of survey documents and plans
Building and maintaining enduring relationships with key clients, building on your professional brand as a trusted advisor
Liaise with contractors, clients, landowners, local authorities and both internal and external stakeholders
Applying a project management lens to your work; ensuring projects are completed on time and to budget
Exploring new and existing opportunities for business to support the growth of a survey team locally in Canberra as well as promoting our other service offerings for relevant projects
Mentor, train, develop and supervise junior surveyors and technicians and provide quality leadership
About you
With significant experience as a Registered Surveyor in ACT and/or NSW, you have been described as adaptable, proactive and motivated. You will come to us with:
Demonstrated working knowledge of cadastral surveys, legislation and subdivisional processes with experience in deposited plan/land titling
An understanding of project management fundamentals and how to apply them in surveying
Excellent consulting skills including business acumen and demonstrated leadership capability
The ability to manage and develop others in a range of survey related technologies and software
