Full Time Veterinary Tech Position

Fairfield Animal Hospital - located in gorgeous Kelowna, British Columbia - is looking for a veterinary technician to add to our fast-paced emergency hospital! Kelowna is known as the Napa Valley of Canada; this province is breathtaking and has numerous activities for all outdoor enthusiasts! On your days off in the summer you can lounge on the beach, in the fall visit one of the multiple wineries, and in the winter hit the slopes skiing or snowboarding.
About Us:
We are the only 24-hour emergency clinic within a 4-hour drive in any direction. Our goal is to grow into a specialty clinic, currently, we have 9 ER DVMs and an Internist on staff. We are looking for leaders who are wanting to grow personally and professionally. We have state-of-the-art equipment, such as a CT scanner, which technicians are encouraged to learn to operate. As a technician working at our hospital, you will be emboldened to pursue a VTS if that interests you, we also provide RECOVER BLS/ALS training for our staff.

About You:

- Ability to perform tasks associated with Technician responsibilities (including placing IV catheters, venipuncture, administering premedication, anesthesia induction & monitoring, patient preparation, surgical nursing, and perioperative nursing care, dental prophylactics, radiographs, etc.)

Compensation:

- $26 and up – will increase based on experience
