Description:

The Medical Council are seeking to appoint x2 12-month fixed term contracts Registration Executives (Executive Officer Grade) to cover two maternity leaves to assist the Medical Council within the Registration Team.
The Registration team forms part of our Regulatory Operations & Support Services function and is responsible for advising and supporting the Council and related committee and working groups in their statutory duties and powers in the area of registration. The roles report to the Registration Manager on all matters pertaining to the Registration function.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Registration Managers on all matters pertaining to the Registration Section.
  • Develop and manage information and documentation relevant to tasks and on-going procedures within the Registration Section, including use of relevant information systems and production of reports.
  • Organise and execute on-going internal and external communication (including telephone calls, email and letters) with individuals and organisations relevant to the work of the Registration Section.
  • Organise, attend and assist with internal and external meetings. Responsibility for overseeing the Clerical Officers work.
  • Observe organisational policies, procedures, good practice guidance relevant to the role and to assigned tasks and procedures.
  • Make suggestions for improvements to activity and procedures across the Registration team and to assist in implementation of improvement.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

  • Actively engage with the risk framework of the Medical Council.
