WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Compliance Lead for the DACH and Eastern Europe region will join the Global Compliance team and report directly to the Head of Global Compliance for Cisco Capital.
You will be an active member of the Cisco Capital Compliance Team and Cisco Capital EMEA Team, and be responsible for the day-to-day management of all regulatory compliance matters arising in the DACH and Eastern Europe region in relation to this business line.
The work is dynamic, varied and wide-reaching, involving close coordination with Legal, Sales, Operations, Risk, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Capital Markets and many other teams.
The role will have additional responsibilities supporting the Global Compliance Team and Cisco Capital business, including driving process simplification initiatives and other projects that benefit our customers and the global compliance team throughout the world.

THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelors’ or Master’s degree in a related subject area.
  • ACAMS or other professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a compliance function at a financial services institution (leasing, factoring), financial institution (banking), a captive finance business, and/or financial technology company (non-banking).
  • Fluent in German and English (speaking, reading and writing)
  • Knowledge and experience working with German regulations (in particular KWG, MaRisk, GwG) and German regulators (BaFin and BuBa).
  • Experience with regulatory filings, reporting requirements, exams and audits.
  • Experience managing communication and relationships with external regulatory authorities.
  • Highly accountable and organized, self-starter, pro-active and driven to take ownership and lead complex tasks across multiple stakeholders

OUR DESIRED SKILLS ARE:

  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance risk management framework (second line of defense) and compliance risk mitigation techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of German laws and regulations (e.g. KWG, MaRisk, GwG) applicable to financial services institutions (leasing, factoring).
  • Strong knowledge of MaRisk requirements in terms of Risk Management.
  • Strong knowledge of European Union regulations applicable to financial services institutions (leasing, factoring) and non-banking financial institutions including anti-money laundering, know your customer, due diligence, sanctions.
  • Dynamic and forward-thinking compliance authority who views compliance as a strategic advantage and an enabler of the business.
  • Collaborative, with outstanding communication, people and organizational skills and a steadfast dedication to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

You will be the Compliance Lead for the DACH and Eastern Europe region (with focus on Germany) supporting Cisco Capital’s business. You will lead and implement an effective and efficient compliance risk management program that is crafted to proactively mitigate compliance risk in support of Cisco Capital’s enablement of the business. You will collaborate with and influence cross-functional groups within Cisco and Cisco Capital on various compliance-related matters across multiple jurisdictions. You will cultivate a culture in which compliance is an integral part of Cisco Capital’s business environment.
