Federal government agency responsible to promote high quality supports and safe environments for all people with disability. Our client is currently seeking a Regulatory Compliance Officer to join their busy team for a temporary assignment until October 2025.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will conduct compliance monitoring and investigative activities, designed to disrupt, prevent and mitigate fraud against the agency, through execution of operational activities, as well as compliance and enforcement actions. In addition, your key duties are as follow:
- Undertake enquiries, monitoring and analysis to develop compliance responses.
- Monitor incoming incidents to ensure high-risk or complex incidents are escalated and dealt with expeditiously.
- Identify trends, issues, individuals of concern and inadequate investigations by service providers, through the assessment and analysis of information gathered during the management of incidents
- Actively contribute to, and participate in, compliance promotion and education campaigns to inform and educate the public about the Department’s functions and the requirements of relevant legislation and rules.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with a large and diverse range of external stakeholders, including state and territory counterparts, clients, and regulatory bodies to facilitate the work of the compliance, reportable incidents and investigations functions
- Prepare complex and/or sensitive correspondence and corporate documentation, including reports, briefings and submissions to support compliance action.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Previous experience in a Regulatory Compliance or similar roles within the government sector
- Background in preparting compliance documentation and correspondence
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional communication and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and problem solving skill
