We are seeking a Degree qualified professional in Economics, Finance, or Commerce, complemented by strong strategic and analytical abilities and a deep understanding of business acumen and policy development. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of the legislative, regulatory, compliance, and policy landscape relevant to regulated electricity network businesses or similar.
Proven proficiency in stakeholder management, including the ability to communicate effectively and influence outcomes with both external and internal stakeholders, is essential. Responsibilities:

As the Regulatory Modelling Manager, you will be instrumental in influencing regulatory outcomes through strategic proposals, submissions, and long-term regulatory planning, using your specialist knowledge of economic regulation in a regulated monopoly, industry trends, emerging risks and technological developments. You will lead the regulatory revenue modelling and analysis, formulating strategies to optimise commercial benefits whilst maintaining alignment with the business’s strategic goals. This will involve overseeing the management of various regulatory revenue models, including post-tax revenue models, roll forward models, public lighting and metering models, as well as evaluations of incentive schemes such as the Efficiency Benefit Sharing Scheme (EBSS), Capital Expenditure Sharing Scheme (CESS), Service Target Performance Incentive Scheme (STPIS), and Customer Service Incentive Scheme (CSIS).
You will collaborate with senior management, regulators, internal project teams, external industry colleagues, and customer representatives, ensuring Ausgrid remains at the forefront of regulatory innovation and industry leadership.
This opportunity will see you partner with the Network Pricing Manager to develop strategic, commercial insights derived from analyses of regulated revenue, pricing, and energy consumption scenarios. Ensuring accuracy and reliability, you will conduct rigorous quality assurance and validation of essential inputs for regulatory revenue and pricing models. You will closely coordinate the integration of regulatory inputs into the Ausgrid corporate model for annual business planning and ad hoc financial analyses. Diligently monitoring shifts in regulations, policies, and economic factors, you will identify risks to Ausgrid and propose robust mitigation strategies.
Part of this role will see you prepare and revise various documents, such as reports, letters, press releases, and presentations, to support stakeholder engagement and fulfill other organisational requirements. You will supervise the preparation and review of written submissions to relevant regulatory bodies, ensuring they align with Ausgrid’s compliance obligations and advocate for positive outcomes.
