Overview:

Be a part of the dynamic rehabilitation services team at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina! We are seeking a casual rehab aide to assist with all disciplines within rehabilitation services. This may include setting up and assisting with direct patient care, patient transport (and monitoring patients during these activities). The rehab aide is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and inventorying of equipment and durable medical equipment for patient use and communicating with vendors regarding equipment inventories. The aide will maintain and clean all department treatment areas and assist with orientation of new staff, and orientation and training of volunteers.

• Casual position, opportunities to pick up shifts as available, both weekday and weekend.
• Schedule: one weekend (Saturday/Sunday) per month.
• Local SEIU Union.

M Health Fairview Rehabilitation offers a range of services that serve patients across 10 acute-care hospitals, 3 post-acute settings and 70 outpatient adult and pediatric therapy clinics. Responsibilities/Job Description:

DEMONSTRATES THE ABILITY TO PERFORM MULTIPLE, SIMULTANEOUS TASKS IN AN ENVIRONMENT FACED WITH INTERRUPTIONS

Demonstrates awareness of and compliance with department efficiency standards, attendance, time management and prioritization.
Participates in department, facility process/quality improvement initiatives.
