Description:

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position will partner directly with the transition Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors and caseloads serving adults with disabilities in Mecklenburg County. The position will be located in the Charlotte VR/IL Unit Office and/or Arrowood satellite office.
The successful applicant provides assistance for assigned caseloads and additional caseloads, if needed. Work activities include: scheduling appointments, interviewing program applicants and sharing agency information, gathering diagnostic reports to assist counselors with determining eligibility and developing individualized plans for employment; documenting casework and provision of substantial services; providing follow-up with consumers, employers, vendors, schools, and other agency personnel as needed; assisting vocational rehabilitation staff with job seeking skills workshops and providing assistance to consumers with job search activities; inputting casework data into relevant computer systems throughout the rehabilitation process; preparing documents including service authorizations and correspondences as needed; and completing all related administrative tasks.
