Position Overview
The purpose of the Administration service is to provide quality data on timely basis to internal and external business partners.

Reporting to the Team Leader Production, you will be responsible for processing transactions on insurance policies, quality control of transaction files received from ceding companies, analyzing and resolving transactions rejected by the automated validation process and processing payables and receivables. You will collaborate with other areas of the Administration service on a range of mandates including internal controls and audits. As part of the Administration service, you will take on joint ownership and be accountable for departmental objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control on transaction files including updating the cross-referencing of codes used by clients and those in RGA’s reinsurance administrative system.
  • Ensure that all transactions reported by the clients on the insurance policies are captured into RGA’s reinsurance administrative system on a timely basis.
  • Analyze and input complex transactions rejected by the automated validation process.
  • Analyze and extend premium schedules rejected by the automated validation process.
  • Process and track reinsurance premiums billing and payment.
  • Propose prioritization levels for interventions related to transactions or extension of premium schedules.
  • Enter substantiated and documented analyses in departmental archiving tools (Azure DevOps, data sheets, etc.).
  • Draft correspondence for clients regarding transactions requiring adjustment.
  • Collaborate with all Administration service areas to achieve departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with internal/external auditors on audit assignments.
  • Any other related tasks.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in reinsurance administration is an asset.
  • Professional working proficiency in English and French (written and spoken) is required to analyze transactional data in English and serve English-speaking clients.
  • Broad knowledge of micro-computing (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of either SQL, VBA, Power BI or Power Automate is an asset.
