This position is required to work across two branch offices - Ponoka & Lacombe.
Reporting to a Team Leader, the Relationship Manager Insurance – Level 3 is focused on providing advanced knowledge on the AFSC suite of risk management and income stabilization solutions to a network of clients, utilizing their extensive risk management skills and experience with the most complex of farming operations and serve as a mentor/trainer to the less experienced levels. The role will provide promotional and educational literature, attend appropriate industry and community events, and conduct face to face individual or group sessions with clients to share knowledge and solidify relationships.
As senior members of a branch or area team, individuals within this role will have responsibility to mentor and coach other team members in the areas of client relationships, product knowledge, and risk management. This role actively engages with the highest complexity of accounts.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Manage and maintain the current portfolio and cultivate potential other risk management tools that would be useful to these operations.
  • Creating knowledge and awareness re: Area based programs; AgriStability and Livestock Price Insurance.
  • Promoting clients using online access to self-serve queries and reporting throughout the year.
  • Building relationships with other Parkland branch team members – Relationship Managers (Insurance and Lending) and Adjusting so we can provide well rounded financial solutions. Also building relationships with other Insurance team members and departments.

What are we looking for from you?

  • Thinking outside the box of how our Risk Management products are created and provide to clients.
  • Willing to provide innovative solutions / suggestions to catapult the role towards the 2030 Relationship Manager Insurance role.
  • Becoming a trusted advisor who can discuss options and provide the corporation an upper edge.
  • Understanding these innovations take time how to we take producers suggestions for improvement to implementation while explaining some of our constraints over the next five years.
  • Able to convey the big picture and what smaller steps need to be taken to get there effectively and efficiently.
  • The ability to explain to producer what AFSC can provide the why and where behind it and what could be suggested for potential change.

Education & Experience
External: Minimum of a 2-year applicable College Diploma, and at least 6 years of related progressive and proven client sales and relationship management experience, OR an applicable 4-year University Degree with 4 years of related progressive and proven client sales and relationship management experience
Internal: Minimum of 8 years of related experience with progressive and proven client sales and relationship building skills, OR a combination of applicable education and related sales and relationship building experience for a minimum equivalency of 8 years.
Pro-active in continued professional and personal skill development is an ongoing expectation.
