ABOUT THE JOB

The Relationship Officer’s key role is to provide credit and administrative support to the Relationship Executives and assist in developing relationships with new and existing customers by providing suitable financial solutions. Supporting our customers’ consumer and commercial lending needs, you will predominantly work with complex commercial lending up to $50mil.

Reporting to the Head of NSW this is a role where you can grow with us and where you will have the opportunity to learn from and work closely with highly experienced teammates and leaders. Your key tasks will include:

  • Assist Relationship Executives in generating loan approvals and deposits as specified in their budgets.
  • Undertake credit and financial analysis in relation to personal and commercial loan transactions – including property development.
  • Assist Relationship Executives by completing detailed and quality lending applications/submissions and undertaking annual reviews for existing clients.
  • Account management and transaction processing
  • Ensuring all loans are settled in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Opening of new accounts and assisting the branch with customer enquiries.
  • Provide efficient and courteous service to customers for all enquires and maximise all relationship building opportunities.

This is a full time, permanent position based in Sydney and with hybrid working arrangements of 50% in the office.

Responsibilities:

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills, in both consumer and commercial lending
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, policies, procedures, products and services
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Optimist is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal & relationship building skills with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
  • Experience in the Account Opening, Documentation Preparation, KYC / AML, Loan Settlement process and Portfolio Management
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is an advantage
