Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Release Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and end-to-end execution of software and application releases within our client organization’s IT environment. Your primary role is to ensure that new software versions, updates, and patches are delivered efficiently and effectively to the business. In collaboration with relevant stakeholders, you will lead assigned projects from start to finish.
WORK TASKS
- Release planning: Collaborating with development teams, project managers, and stakeholders to create release schedules, prioritize features, and establish release criteria
- Release coordinating: Coordinate the strategizing, implementation, and oversight of software rollouts throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle
- Risk management: Identifying potential risks and dependencies related to releases, devising mitigation strategies, and proactively addressing issues that may impact release delivery
- Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and overcome challenges
- Release reporting and documentation: provide post-release reports and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of the release process
- Release documentation: creating and maintaining release documentation, including release notes, deployment instructions, and rollback plans, to ensure clear communication and support for release activities
