Job Description
As the Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will play a vital role in ensuring alignment with organizational goals, Agile principles, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). We are seeking an experienced leader and coach who can effectively facilitate value delivery through our Agile Release Train (ART). Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate communication, managing risk, reporting on progress, manage roadblocks, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the ART. We are looking for candidates who have a proven track record in Agile methodologies, possess strong leadership skills, and are passionate about driving organizational success through Agile practices. If you have experience in coaching teams, facilitating collaboration, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, we encourage you to apply for this position.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate ART Events

  • Lead and facilitate key SAFe events, including PI Planning, Inspect and Adapt (I&A), Scrum of Scrums, and ART Sync to ensure team alignment and coordination.
  • Guide teams in understanding and applying Agile and SAFe principles during these events.

Coordination, Communication and Alignment

  • Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.

Remove Impediments

  • Identify and proactively address impediments that hinder team progress, escalating when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other RTEs and stakeholders to resolve cross-ART impediments.

Continuous Improvement

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the ART, identifying opportunities for optimization and driving initiatives to enhance team performance.
  • Facilitate retrospectives and other feedback mechanisms to gather insights for improvement.
  • Improve the flow of value through the value stream by improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
  • Actively participate in the Agile Centre of Excellence.

Coach and Train

  • Provide coaching and training to teams, leaders, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other roles within the ART.
  • Foster an environment of continuous learning and skill development.

Metrics and Reporting

  • Track and report key metrics related to the performance and health of the ART.
