REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent qualification
- 5 years relevant experience in reliability engineering
- Understanding of the importance and role of data in the logistics program essential
- Experience in any Reliability software like MADe or equivalent.
- Excellent computer skills
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card)
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Reliability Engineer is responsible for the RAM (Reliability, Availability & Maintainability) function within the ILS discipline and manages engineering investigations, to ensure:
- RAM requirements are achieved in accordance with the relevant project,
- Effective execution and RAM analysis utilising and methodologies such as FMECA, RCM and CBM,
- RAM discipline and outcomes are effectively represented during design review,
- Maintenance analysis is effectively completed delivering a cost effective maintenance program for managing the technical integrity of assets in service,
- Engineering investigations are held to determine RCA of failures, supportability or RAM improvements of assets in-service.
KEY OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Conduct reliability investigations to identify deficiencies in existing mission and support system and/or to optimise asset reliability, availability, maintainability and safety.
- Understand and, where necessary, develop and maintain reliability engineering processes and procedures.
- Perform a variety of modelling and analysis that relates to the reliability, availability, maintainability and safety of systems. This includes Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM).
