The focus of this role is to perform and report on integrity risk and reliability analysis using standard tools and techniques to support department goals and job accountabilities (e.g., periodical system-wide probability of failure analysis) and internal partners’ requests. You will also support the continual improvement of analysis tools, processes, and methodologies.

What you will do:

  • Perform reliability and statistical analysis for Enbridge assets using existing tools (e.g., Python, MatLab, @Risk). This includes hands-on application of existing reliability models (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, Bayesian Network, Fault Tree, Decision Tree) for integrity.
  • Support the execution and upkeep of system-wide reliability analysis for mainline threats.
  • Perform detailed assessments required to address unmet reliability and/or risk targets following existing processes.
  • Support the development and improvement of processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Support the continuous improvement of reliability assessment tools and techniques through literature review, feasibility analysis and automation.

Who you are:

  • Engineering degree from accredited University.
  • Registered member, or eligible to register with Engineer-In-Training with APEGA in the Province of Alberta.
  • 2-4 years of engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Sophisticated data analytics.
  • Pipeline integrity related projects and programs.
  • Reliability analysis including statistical analysis, results interpretation, system modelling.
  • Research-related projects requiring review of industry literature, interpretation of a variety data types, and generation of conclusions and recommendations based on findings.
  • Knowledge of statistical tools (e.g., @RISK), large databases (e.g., Power Pivot, Power Query and/or Power BI).
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Optimally deliver self-directed tasks and partner requests.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.
  • 5% travel which will include overnight business trips to the field or vendor may be required, usually requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
