About the role
Our Blue Chip mining client is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer for a Perth based position. The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for leading tactics and strategy development for fixed plant assets using FMECA and RCM principles. This role is offered on a 10 Month contract basis on a Monday to Friday Perth based roster, with the possibility of extension.

As the Reliability Engineer, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Undertaking gap assessments for fixed plant assets to identify opportunities to improve maintenance practices
  • Assess and prioritise equipment based on criticality, lifecycle and historical data
  • Review master data, engineering drawings and other information to establish equipment details
  • Conduct workshops with maintenance personnel to populate FMECA and corrective action information
  • Support planning and master data personnel to develop tactics in CMMS

What are we looking for?

The following experience and skills are essential for this role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or similar, with relevant industry experience
  • Thorough understanding of FMECA and RCM processes
  • Ability to perform measured and accurate work across all depth levels, from high level gap assessments to detailed equipment specific failure analysis
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
  • A team-focused approach with strong communication skills
  • Current drivers license

Experience preferred but not mandatory includes:

  • Previous on-site experience in mining industry
  • Knowledge of SAP CMMS System
  • Experience within Fixed Plant Maintenance including Conveyor Belts, Vibrating Screens, Stackers, Crushers and Bins & Chutes.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate significant experience in a similar role and preference will be given to those with large scale mining experience.
