JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our North Rocks factory. The ability to identify key losses and areas for improvement within our process is vital to ensure outputs are maximised through minor and major stoppage reductions, streamlining Changeover processes.
Implement digital solutions to improve equipment interactions and data gathering, while coaching and mentoring the teams in these solutions.
It is a critical role for developing our factory to a World Class standard: zero defects, zero waste and zero losses. The successful candidate will extensively apply the full range of Focused and Quality Improvement methods and tools to counter losses identified in the areas of Safety, Quality, waste, sustainability, Cost Deployment, Customer Service, and Logistics on site.
Key KPIs would be based on Unplanned breakdowns, number of breakdowns, Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Engineering, project management
  • Experience in FMCG manufacturing undertaking the duties of a Reliability Engineering for minimum 2 years
  • Unilever Manufacturing System/World Class Manufacturing (UMS/WCM) methodologies including RCA and FI
  • Maintenance and CMMS system exposure

Responsibilities:

  • Eliminate Waste and Losses according to the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) prioritization process using Autonomous Maintenance (AM), (Preventative Maintenance (PM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA), Functional integration (FI) pillar tools, Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) methodologies.
  • Create Technical Standards for operators / trades in PM, parts and functions, and restoration of basic conditions (Stability sustainability).
  • Responsible for Preventative maintenance pillar in department, while scheduling and reviewing PM activities.
  • Develop Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) for all PM activities to ensure all done to standard.
  • Lead RCAs on all breakdowns and losses.
  • Drive down key factory losses vs OKRs.
  • Upskilling the teams to ensure we are equipped with the right ability.
  • Adhere to and follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) hygiene standards.
  • Own defect tagging system.
  • Support AM, FI and Kaizen activities.
  • Eliminate chronic failures.
  • Drive Lockout-tagout (LOTO)/Safety initiatives.
  • Ensure standards and Run To Standard practices are being maintained.
  • Drive 5S standards.
