Job Description
We are now hiring for a Relief Courier Driver to join the Business Support team on a zero hour contract. This role is in place to cover the annual leave periods of the two full time Courier drivers, to ensure the vital service they provide, can continue to an expected level throughout the year. We estimate that this will equate to between 30-50 working days a year and will be weekdays only, working between 0730-1600.

Responsibilities:

WHAT DOES THE COURIER ROLE INVOLVE?

You will be working within a wider team of 8 people (Business Support HQ) with 2 direct Courier colleagues. The role involves collecting and transporting items such as DNA, drug and blood samples, crime property inc. firearms and cash, internal mail, Crown and Magistrate Court files. The area covered is Cambridgeshire, with daily trips to our partner Forces in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. You will also be responsible for undertaking daily maintenance on all mail and Business Support managed pool vehicles.
