Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Cloud System Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Full Stack Angular/Java Developer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and support our infrastructure in AWS hosting the software solutions for our clients.
This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US. This role requires travel up to 10% of the time, including attending 1-2 Annual General Meetings per year and potentially visiting customer sites. A valid passport or visa is necessary for travel to Canada.

What your impact will be:

  • Deploy and configure infrastructure cloud resources (i.e. virtual machines, storge, networks) on AWS platform.
  • Participate in the infrastructure management activities including continuous delivery, monitoring system performance, availability and health.
  • Assist in migrating products from on-premise to cloud.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible.
  • Optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Implement cloud operations procedures including backup solutions and disaster recovery plans (i.e. BCDR).
  • Participate in and manage production applications deployments.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintain and optimize monitoring tools to track system performance and issues (i.e. Observability).
  • Propose and implement improvements to the existing cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure cloud environment support for deployed applications’ reliability, availability, performance and safety of information.
  • Ensure quick recovery from incidents utilizing well defined operational procedures, tools, and efficient communication with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with engineering, security operations, software architecture, support, platform, and other cross-functional teams on company priorities and roadmap planning for a rapidly growing customer base.

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years in a System Cloud Administrator role.
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server or a similar RDBMS.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies (DNS, VPN, Load Balancing).
  • Working knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows).
  • Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible etc).
  • Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English are a requirement.

What would make you stand out:

  • Proven hands on experience with Cloud platforms (including migration from on-prem systems to the cloud).
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Certifications from top cloud providers (i.e. Cloud Practitioner/Architect/Devops or specialty certifications in security, networking).
