Position Overview:
The Head of Enterprise Business Development will be responsible for leading the sales and go-to-market activities for Green Dot Corporation’s Embedded Finance, Retail, and Money Movement businesses. The successful candidate will work closely with the General Managers (GMs) to develop and close partner opportunities that align with the product line priorities and capabilities. They will be a strategic, results-driven leader with a proven track record of success in business development and sales. They will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, they will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and optimize sales and go-to-market activities. They will also have a deep understanding of the financial services industry, including regulatory requirements and market trends.
The role requires a results-driven individual who can oversee a team of Business Development professionals and ensure that the BD team is sized appropriately for the market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the GMs to develop and close partner opportunities that align with the product line priorities and capabilities.
  • Handle the sales operations and support required to meet the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for each product line’s new partner sales goals established with the CRO, GMs, and other stakeholders.
  • Structure pricing with the BD, GMs and Finance teams to reach our financial goals and target performance.
  • Own the successful implementation and support enterprise lead generation activities that increase year-over-year (YoY) sales for each product.
  • Ensure BD team effectiveness, pipeline management, and reporting to internal customers.
  • Developing and implementing sales and go-to-market strategies that align with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Leading and collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales and go-to-market activities.
  • Serving as a service provider to the General Managers (GMs) to ensure that partner opportunities are developed and closed in alignment with the product line priorities and capabilities.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key external partners, including financial institutions, retailers, and partnered technology companies.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments to identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships.
  • Developing and implementing performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to assess and optimize team effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with the Revenue Operations team to ensure seamless handoff from the BD team to the revenue operations/ or Business line team for onboarding and support of new partners.
  • Continuously evaluating and optimizing the BD team’s structure, processes, and tools to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or related field with a track record of success in driving revenue growth.
  • Experience working with retail, embedded finance, and money movement businesses is strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading and managing a team of Business Development professionals.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate results to Executives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
