QUALIFICATIONS

  • Trade qualification- Mechanical, Electrical. Maintenance.

SKILLS

  • Effective communication skills verbally written internally and externally, up, down, horizontally.
  • Health & Safety Awareness, Risk Assessment experience.
  • Fully competent in all safety protocols and regulations related to depot operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail specifically in quality control and safety compliance.

EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years’ experience in Depot Supervision, Logistics, and or equipment hire.
  • Ability to combine technical skills (such as inventory management) with soft skills (such as team leadership) to ensure efficient operations of the Renewable Power Division within the depot.

Responsibilities:

Day to day review of sales pipeline to ensure that renewable products are available to meet hire requirements.
Inspecting all renewable products going out on hire to ensure they meet the necessary standards of cleanliness and appearance and the correct accessories etc have been included. Ensuring service check sheets are completed and maintained.
Carrying out any of the tasks which would normally be assigned to renewable power staff as necessary to ensure hire commitments / service standards are met. Assisting or advising staff in his department on any aspect of their work they are unsure of.
Manage all products returned from hire are inspected to ensure all damage (including graffiti, keys, or locks) is recorded.
Issuing site damages to Depot Manager for authorisation and charging to customers. Ensuring customers are charged for all other services such as excess cleaning, damages etc.
Ensuring all delivery / collection / exchange paperwork is correctly completed (including details of e-codes of assets) and filed. Raising requisitions for consumables and other items for the division including parts to repair assets and outsourced refurbishment.
Ensuring drivers delivering renewable division products are fully briefed on deployment and set up of products.
Regularly checking and maintaining the condition of units being stored in the depot to make sure that they are stored with in manufacturers guidelines.
Ensuring that all renewable products are maintained and serviced as required by the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Ensuring that all renewable products are stored as directed by the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Ensuring new assets are checked before being booked into fleet and records of such checks are maintained.
Ensuring the building / yard is maintained and always secured, all required designated areas are clearly marked and assets / parts are held / stored in the appropriate areas. Ensuring the works office and yard areas are maintained in tidy, clean and hazard free condition.
Ensuring all staff in / supporting your division are adequately trained to operate efficiently, effectively, safely and professionally.
Assisting in carrying out staff appraisals.
Identifying and reporting training needs and requesting training with the Learning & Development Team.
Issuing NCR’s to record breaches of procedures and where necessary conducting or organising training or toolbox talks to address issues.
Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and timely manner without risk to yourself and others whether on site or at a depot in line with the Company’s Health & Safety Directives, Method Statements, and procedure.
Wearing appropriate safety clothing and using safety equipment to complete the task undertaken in the working environment in accordance with the Company’s P.P.E requirements.
Maintaining a safe and hazard free work area be it on customer site or within Nixon Hire premises.
Checking company vehicles before use and driving in a safe and courteous manner, along with timely reporting of any vehicle defects.
Reporting any accidents (person, property or vehicles) via the Accident / Incident report system.
Carrying out any other duties as requested by immediate line manager or Director.
