Siemens Energy Grid Technologies are recruiting for a Level 6 (BEng) degree apprentice to specialise in the area of High Voltage Cables. This exciting new opportunity represents a new growth period for Siemens Energy Transmission Solutions and offers excellent opportunities to be part of our fantastic apprenticeship programme.

Alongside your full time work, you will be working towards a L6 BEng Product Design and Development Engineer at Newcastle University.

• Gain understanding of Autodesk products such as AutoCAD and Revit to aid in the production of cable design packages.
• Assisting with the preparation of drawings and technical documents
• Utilise editing software such as Adobe Acrobat / PDF X-Change for formatting documents.
• Liaise and engage with Colleagues and Clients to build professional relationships.
• Site visits as and when required for further technical development
• Understand of Information Management Systems and maintenance of Master Document Registers and other Document Control requirements throughout project lifecycle.
• Familiar with specifications within HV cabling such as IEC, BS, NGET, ENATS, Cigre
