The Global Repair department at Vestas Wind Systems plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective repair of wind turbine component sustainable energy solutions, this department focuses on maintaining the reliability and performance of wind turbines through timely and accurate repairs. The team offers an opportunity to contribute to the renewable energy sector and work on exciting projects that support the sustainability goals of Vestas.
We are seeking a Mechanical Repair specialist to join our team at Vestas, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions. This is a specialist with an enthusiasm for mechanical or hydraulic components and a willingness to excel in a complex and innovative environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant education on the field of mechanical or hydraulic components
- 6+ years of experience in the wind industry in the mechanical or hydraulic field, Onshore or Offshore
- Demonstrated previous experience within Service, maintenance, or Repairs of WTGs
- Comprehensive knowledge of Vestas turbines and associated components
- Fluent English written and verbal competencies
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and prioritize safety protocols
- Develop repair solutions, define and maintain the repair strategy from a technical point of view
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective maintenance strategies, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and wind turbine regulations
- Ensure Repair readiness for new turbine platforms, both Onshore and Offshore turbines
- Provide technical guidance and promote continuous improvement within the group and our Repair partners
