It’s an exciting time to come and join the Sepura team. We are on the lookout for a Repair Technician to play a key role within the Sepura Repair Centre.
The Repair Technician will be part of Sepura’s Repair Centre, ensuring that Customer equipment is repaired to the high standard that users of Sepura device expect and rely upon.
As a Repair Technician you will have a background in working in a Repair/Service environment and experience in keeping on top of the demands of working in a busy Repair Centre.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher level education. This could be a GNVQ, BTEC or A Levels.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Demonstrable experience in a Repair/Service Environment
  • Soldering of PCB’s and mechanical Assembly/disassembly of Products.
  • Ability to use relevant Servicing Tools/Jigs & Fixtures.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Use of Hot Air Gun to remove and replace components on the PCB.
  • Ability to accurately follow work instructions.
  • Highly accurate and keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with using MS Office (Excel/Word)

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE /SKILLS:

  • Experience in an Electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced in the use of BGA Machine.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety processes.
  • IPC inspection certification
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Dynamics AX/365

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE

  • Diagnosis and confirmation of Customer reported faults using manual and automated jigs and fixtures used in the Repair Centre
  • Disassembly and assembly of products and replacement of key components
  • Inspection of repair work carried out.
  • Use of software tools required for the processing and repair of Products.
  • Carrying out hardware modifications as part of internal/customer projects.
  • Meet the required product turnaround times.
  • Training of Internal/External staff if required.
  • Available to visit customer premises for upgrading of hardware if required.
  • Record all repair work undertaken in Management System.
  • Maintain provision of spare parts.
  • Highlighting potential problems quickly to the line Manager for resolution.

Providing an essential service to Sepura’s customers, you will be supported by your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across the business. Repair Technician activities you will be responsible for include:

  • Repairing Customer equipment to the required standard and using the test jigs available to verify a successful repair.
  • Disposal of customer equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Carrying out hardware modifications as part of internal/customer projects.
  • Working with other departments within Sepura.
  • Maintaining records of all repairs carried out.
  • Following and maintaining process including Health & Safety guideline
