Description:

Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Report Writer to join our team. As a Report Writer, you will be responsible with the Report Developer for producing accurate and insightful reports and documentation for our clients, providing valuable insights into their IT infrastructure, performance, and security. This role plays a critical part in communicating complex technical information in a clear and concise manner, helping clients make informed decisions and optimise their IT resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report Generation: Produce a variety of reports, including performance reports, security assessments, and compliance audits, based on data collected from various IT systems and tools.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and extract meaningful insights to be included in reports.
  • Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and operating procedures, to support client IT environments.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of reports and documentation, performing quality assurance checks and revisions as needed.
  • Client Communication: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand report requirements, discuss findings, and address any questions or concerns related to the reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements, and incorporate relevant updates and enhancements into reports and documentation.
  • Report Automation: Identify opportunities to automate report generation processes using scripting languages or reporting tools to improve efficiency and scalability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in report writing, data analysis, or technical documentation within the technology industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, for report writing and documentation purposes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, data cleaning, and other analytical techniques required for data usage.
  • Understanding of Azure data services such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform is required.
  • Previous experience with systems such as Crystal reports writer is beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
