QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree
- 5+ years of business analytics, decision support, or complex retail finance or statistical/data science experience
- Experience with statistical or financial modelling and data modeling techniques
- Strong data manipulation, transformation skills and data life cycle knowledge
- Strong organizational, project management, documentation, and prioritization skills
- Detail oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, with minimal guidance provided
- Proficiency in Power BI as well as Expert/Mastery level Excel skills are required
- Experience within the Health Care Industry preferred
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting two dynamic areas of the BD-Canada organization and to provide business insights to help inform decisions and achieve strategic objectives. This role involves independently gathering, understanding, and analyzing market intelligence data, and operational data to broaden insights and analytics and to develop predictive insights and data analysts for the Customer Operations team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Data mining, quantifying, reconciling, evaluating, and transforming internal and external information into business intelligence, and providing easily understandable and actionable recommendations which further drive the achievement of strategic and sales objectives.
- Provide business decision support through market and sales analytics in support of overall pricing strategy and offer customer/market insights that will accelerate sales growth.
- Work closely with business partners to gather reporting requirements and build new reporting capabilities, including performing data validation, combining multiple complex data sets, and creation of customized, self-serve dashboards as required.
- Responsible for the management, continual customization and development of existing reports, forms, templates, and models utilizing varying technologies (Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Virtual Agents) Databricks, Azure, Excel, VBA Macros, Access etc.) in support of the business.
- Lead monthly business reviews by providing performance updates on key metrics, providing research driven insights, and investigate discrepancies as needed.
